u s R a m b l e s 1 09-01-2005: Found a bunch more people stealing art and bandwidth from me. Doing all I can to stop them, and to make sure they know this is not acceptable. As well, doing what I can to safeguard my site from any further such invasions. Hotlinking/direct linking is NOT acceptable to me! 08-29-2005: Discovered some upsetting news last night -- people have been stealing my artwork and not crediting me. Replacement images have been made, image names have been changed, and I am working on watermarking each and every image that appears on all three of my sites, starting with this one, as at the moment it seems the hardest hit. This is extremely upsetting to me, as I put a lot of work and effort both into my art and into creating these sites so that they would be available for people to view my artwork. The internet is a big place, and people tend to think "who'll notice," but we do. Art theft hurts. It's theft of ideas, theft of time and effort, and in some cases, theft of someone's original characters/character designs. What hurts as well is theft of bandwidth. That's something that has to be paid for, and direct-linking to images steals bandwidth, which forces people to have to pay more while someone else gets a free ride. Art theft is not okay, and I am doing best to -- politely and reasonably -- make people stop stealing my images. If you see artwork you've seen on this site being displayed elsewhere with no links or credit to me, please notify me immediately, and if possible, contact the site or poster asking them to please remove my art from their site. thank you! |
